Sonoma County, California, United StatesBig cassis, dusty, coffee, cedar, vanilla, earthy, tobacco, blackberry jam, pruny, peppery, chocolate nose but very lifted and warm. Rich, smooth, round, unctuous palate with dry, grainy tannins and very warm. Intense cedar-y, peppery, smoky, coffee, resin, cassis jam, blackberry jam, tobacco, dried herb flavours. No lack of intensity here but the finish is very dry, hot, and somewhat bitter with acidity poking out. Needs two to four years.
