Poet's Leap Riesling 2008
Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesIncredibly fresh nose, despite the unnecessary cork closure, and clearly the best yet offering yet from German Armin Diel. Backed pear and citrus rind notes mark the nose while the flavours are mix of candied grapefruit and lemon streaked with more floral mineral notes. There is a touch of fatness in the mid-palate but the finish is fresh and long. Try this with your favourite Thai dishes.Tasted: 30 November 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $39.99 | 750ml | speculative listing - Mark Anthony Brands |
