Batasiolo Barolo

Batasiolo Barolo 2004

Piedmont, ItalyTar, earthy, coffee, tobacco, strawberry jam, cherry, cedar, meaty, saddle leather aromas. Ripe, round, dry, supple but grainy tannins. Still tight with good acidity. Cherry jam, licorice root, peppery, vanilla, coffee, tobacco, leather, dried herb, smoky tar and cedar flavours. Good concentration, very spicy tar finish. Needs 3-5 years. Again, more feminine style but balanced. Solid value here.Tasted: 17 August 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices: BC 39.00 specialty listing AB 38.00 Fine Wine Boutiques ON 33.00 NS 33.00 QC 30.00 Producer: Beni di BatasioloDistributors: Charton-Hobbs
