Signorello Padrone 2005
Napa Valley, California, United StatesVery spicy, peppery, ripe cassis, blackberry, tobacco leaf, floral, coffee, licorice aromas. Rich, round, dry, full bodied style with supple but grainy tannins. Cedar, smoky, earthy, tobacco, peppery, cassis jam, blackberry, resin, savoury, vanilla flavours. Finish is warm and a bit tight, needs 3-7 years to soften. The current edition is slightly tighter with a dash of herbal cabernet character not seen last year.
