Blue Mountain Pinot Blanc 2007
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaPeach, floral, honey, lees, light garlic nose with a touch of citrus and buttery vanilla. Crisp, dry, elegant, somewhat taut style. Lees, spicy, grassy, lemon, green apple skin, garlic, waxy, mineral flavours. A bit austere with a touch of bitterness on the finish but a good food wine. Needs a year or so to soften. Good value for British Columbia and surely a pinot blanc leader.Tasted: 23 January 2009Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $18.00 | 750ml | winery direct, private wine shops |
