Sequel Syrah 2005
Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesJohn Duval is the man behind Sequel with its peppery, smoky, spicy, mineral, vanilla, coffee, floral, gamey, saddle leather nose with a dusting of barnyard aromas, light cedar and tobacco. The palate is supple and engaging with smooth tannins and good acidity. Smoky, bacon, black cherry, cedar, tobacco, licorice, coriander, tapenade, and meaty, plum and orange spice flavours. Warm finish with some tannin to dissipate but long. Fine oak balance. Needs another three to five years in bottle to really blossom.Tasted: 13 September 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $85.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Mark Anthony Brands |
