St. Hallett Old Block Shiraz 2002

Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaWarm, port-y nose with gamey, chocolate, sausage meat, black pepper, coffee pudding, blackberry jam aromas with some leafy / cedar bark undertones. The entry is warm and dry and showing considerable acid. On the palate more chocolate, pepper, tobacco, mocha, mineral, blackberry and blueberry flavours with some cedar-y, dry tannins on the finish. Not the best Old Block we have tasted.Tasted: 26 September 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
