St. Hallett Old Block Shiraz 1999

Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaMeaty, sausage, gamey aromas with peppery, blackberry jam, plum and chocolate vanilla streaks with a little portiness. Rich, ripe, hot style with some definite tannins. Ripe blackberry jam, mocha, vanilla, smoky plum, licorice flavours. Not as sumptuous and round as we were hoping with too much acidity on the finish.Tasted: 05 June 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
