Mission Hill Family Estate Oculus 2002

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaBig cassis, black pepper and spicy, saddle leather notes mix with tobacco, orange rind and vanilla pudding aromas. This is a rich, warm, youthful tannic red that will need time to blend its substantial cassis, olive, pepper, orange rind and herbal/leaf flavours. The style is lean and reserved but we know it will grow in the bottle much like the 2001 a wine whose mark we have recently upgraded based on its showing with an additional year in bottle. The blend is 50/30/15/5 merlot / cabernet sauvignon / cabernet franc and petit verdot.Tasted: 04 November 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
