Graham's Vintage Port 1991
Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalThe first vintage to be declared since 1985 produced a very small but high quality harvest. This is a big port with spicy, black tea, peppery, plum jam, licorice root nuances on the nose some orange peel and smoke. The entry is supple with ripe, smooth tannins and cherry, plum jam, peppery, spicy, resiny, licorice root and cola flavours. Still a touch fiery and youthful at present but wonderful balance. It's drinkable now but will improve over the next 10 years or more.Tasted: 17 November 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $99.99 | 750ml | Specialty |
