Batasiolo Barbera d'Alba Sovrana 2002

Piedmont, ItalySpicy, peppery, earthy, cherry aromas with a light barnyard lees note. Dry, soft, round palate with spicy, earthy, tobacco, peppery, cherry flavours. A bit dry with some tannin and acidity but an improvement over the regular. No longer the bargain it was thanks to a rising Euro and the latest hike in the monopoly tax.Tasted: 07 July 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
