Antinori Pèppoli Chianti Classico 2024
Tuscany, ItalyThe 2024 Pèppoli steps back to a more classic Tuscan style, with finesse more dominant than power in a vintage focused on freshness, fragrance, and drinkability. The single estate in Chianti Classico, owned and farmed by Marchesi Antinori, is primarily sangiovese with a touch of syrah and merlot. Each is fermented and aged separately in stainless steel, then aged for nine months in large, older Slavonian oak barrels. Look for spicy red cherries and wild red berries with earthy forest floor notes. The textures are luxurious, and the palate opens with rich, fleshy black cherry and dense, chalky, sweet tannins. Polished in a way most Classicos are not. Elegant, stylish, and frankly Antinori.Tasted: 20 August 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:| BC | $34.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
