Unsworth Vineyards Pinot Gris 2024
Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaUnsworth winemaker Dan Wright is known for his style, mainly pure and precise, and this pinot gris is a fine example. Pinot gris is the most widely planted white grape on Vancouver Island. It is all grown over a mix of marine silts and loams. The region was spared the great freeze of 2024 that devastated the Okanagan Valley crop. In the glass, it has a subtle yet expressive nose of pear, citrus, and minerals. The palate is marked by a lean, crisp character, offering crunchy textures and a distinctive sea air finish, a nod to the Island's coastal influence. This fresh profile makes it an ideal companion for oysters.Tasted: 28 July 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $26.99 | 750ml | winery direct |
