Yarra Valley, Victoria, AustraliaThe stelvin Yarra Syrah is a blend of fruit from their farmed fruit plus grower vineyards across both the upper Yarra and Valley floor. This vintage included 10% whole bunches, was native fermented and spent 14-18 days on skins in stainless before resting 8 months in older small and large format oak. It was bottled without fining or filtration. Super peppery throughout its slender 12% form, this courses with herbaceous thorniness, scrubby wild herbs fragrant violets, and silky dark plum. Tannins are fine and supple, casing this through a lingering and lifted white pepper finish.
