Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaCélestiale is the little sibling to Clos du Soleil's icon Signature red. Theoretically, you can enjoy this one now (signal screwcap) while waiting for Signature to mature. The 2022 blends 44% merlot, 25% cabernet franc, 22% cabernet sauvignon, 5% malbec, and 4% petit verdot from vineyards in Keremeos and Cawston. Smouldering blackberry, cassis, perfumed violets, and earthy thorns floods a juicy, full palate, with supple / sticky tannins to frame, and a scrubby rosemary note to scent the espresso finish.
