Keremeos, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis Bordeaux-styled blend mixes merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot from the Similkameen. Look for savoury, smoky, peppery, leather, prune/plum, black berry, rooty, licorice aromas. Dry, fresh, elegant, juicy red fruits with a leaner palate flecked with tobacco, resin, coffee, black olive, gamey, sage and vanilla flavours. The finish is warm and slightly acidic. Less complex than the Estate Reserve it still needs two to four years to reach maturity.
