Lunessence Merlot 2022
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaLunessence is on a role with merlot. The 2022 is better than the 2021, which was good in a challenging year, but this is another notch up. There is no mention of foot-trodden grapes on the label this year, but the texture is silky smooth, and the dark plum is perfectly ripe. It is aged in French oak, a small amount is new, and the results are stunning. Fragrant, fruity, clean, and stylish, this is a head-turner. It's a perfect wine for a mushroom pasta dish.
