LebanonFrom vineyards in the western Bekaa valley at 1050m, this red blends 40% syrah, 40% cabernet sauvignon, 15% cinsault, 5% carignan, from dry farmed vines 15-20 years, rooted in sandy limestone over clay. All was native fermented in concrete vats before blending, and aging in the same for 2 years. Dusky black plum, black raspberry is woven throughout the savoury, stony palate, accented with dried scrubby herbs, and easily lofted with altitude. Tannins are ample, grippy, but well placed, framing this muscular wine and making it primed for roasted / grilled meats.Tasted: 16 February 2026Tasted by: Prices:

LebanonThis Red is a blend of dry farmed syrah, cabernet sauvignon, cinsault, and carignan from 20 year old vines planted at 1050 metres in elevation in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley. There's a lovely combination of ripe, sun-soaked fruit and savoury complexity, with retained freshness thanks to the high elevation. Dried brambles and figs are accented by peppery spice, baked clay, leather, and gamey notes that will appeal to fans of Southern Rhône reds. An impressive, distinct wine, and an absolute steal at this price.Tasted: 11 June 2024Tasted by: Prices:
