Domaine des Tourelles Red 2020
LebanonFrom vineyards in the western Bekaa valley at 1050m, this red blends 40% syrah, 40% cabernet sauvignon, 15% cinsault, 5% carignan, from dry farmed vines 15-20 years, rooted in sandy limestone over clay. All was native fermented in concrete vats before blending, and aging in the same for 2 years. Wild cherry, black raspberry, subtle anise, dried herbs, worked leather are woven throughout this savoury red, with brisk stony acidity, and fine, amply grippy tannins through a sharply bitter finish.
