Opawa Pinot Noir 2020
Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandOpawa is different from most classic Marlborough pinot, pitching a drier, much earthier style, and in this version, one that is entirely reduced upon opening. I gave this a lot of air, but it wasn’t much cleaner 30 minutes later. The textures are supple and pinot-like, but the reductive nature of this bottle suppresses the red fruit.
