Swartland, Coastal Region, South AfricaAdi Badenhorst is a champion of the Swartland, the region his family has family has been rooted in and growing in for generations. This was partially macerated on skins in concrete, with the remaining lots whole bunch carbonic in stainless. After about 3 weeks, all are pressed into old barrels, where it remains on full lees for 10 months. It is bottled without filtration. Tangerine skin, bergamot, white grapefruit, white peach fuzz, fresh green herbs is scented with roiboos tea, and lit with a stony freshness, finishing in a wash of crushed rocks.
