Schloss Vollrads Riesling Qualitatswein 2021
Rheingau, GermanySchloss Vollrads makes numerous wines, but what they do differently is offer high quality and distinctiveness at all price points, something most of the wine world has abandoned, putting wine at risk to just about anything else the competition, beer, wine, spirit, or refreshment drinks throws at it. This brilliant little limey/citrus affair brings a whack of acidity to temper the residual sugar in the back end. The result is a well-balanced, vibrant, off-dry wine with endless possibilities. We bought this in Costco for US$10.00, and it sings. Lip smacking and pristine, its medium, sweet, juicy attack is tempered in the finish with a terrific quaffable riesling acidity, ready to take on a wide spectrum of food.
