Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRed Rooster is closing its door on the Naramata Bench, although we are told the brand will live on out of Peller Kelowna. The fruit is sourced from the southeastern Okanagan Valley. The winemaking is kept simple in stainless steel before the finished wine spends one year in a mix of French oak (four percent new) and concrete. Look for a smoky, slightly reductive, meaty nose with sweet, earthy cherry and a spicy herbal back end. Textures are soft and ready to drink. Try with a lamb stew.Tasted: 30 June 2023Tasted by: Prices:

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSourced from the southeastern Okanagan Valley, this destemmed pinot noir was crushed and fermented in stainless before 1 year's rest in concrete and French oak (4% new). Smoked plum and ripe cherry is worn with softly furry tannins through a warming, cedar-spiced finish. Simple and a bit muddled, this would suit a fall root veg braise.Tasted: 28 August 2023Tasted by: Prices:
