Chain Reaction Tailwind Pinot Gris 2022

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaChain Reaction is based on the Naramata Bench and is named for the owners' love of cycling. Joel and Linda Chamaschuk, originally from the Lower Mainland, finally decided to become part of the industry and purchased an orchard on the Bench, planting their first vineyard in 2019. Winemaker Dwight Sick oversees the wines. This year's PG comes primarily from Kaleden's OPG Vineyard and Chain Reaction's McMillan Vineyard in Penticton. Each lot was a whole cluster pressed and fermented in stainless, with a partial chill to preserve RS. Both lots rested for two months on lees before fining, blending, filtration, and bottling. Ripe and fleshy, with fragrant florals, white peach, orchard pear, lime pith, subtle anise, a crunchy snap of Asian pear acidity to liven, and a solid bump of RS for extra friendliness. Think modern Alsace x Okanagan Valley.Tasted: 21 June 2023Tasted by: Prices:
