Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIf you need more inspiration to try this historical wine, the Hester Creek Block 16 Trebbiano, which dates back to 1968, took a hit last winter from a freak overnight freeze, and it’s struggling to come back to life. The 2022 is a fine rendition of what is a fresh, floral white like no other in the country. Its simple production process begins with destemmed berries and a long, cool, three-month fermentation to preserve all it has to offer. The flavours span green apples and sweet melon with a tangerine, nectarine undercurrent that runs through a dry, palate-cleansing finish.
