Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandSpy Valley is a family owned 400-acre winery on the sunny southern side of Marlborough's Wairau Valley, making highly reliable wines. This juicy sauvignon is grown over alluvial, stony, silty soils in Waihopai Valley, mid-Wairau, and Lower Wairau Valley. The ferment is mainly done in stainless steel tanks, but selected blocks are fermented in barrels to give the wine a slightly richer undercurrent. Expect an enticing mix of floral, citrus, nectarine, sweet lime, and a stony, saline finish. Mussels, crab cakes, fish and chips all work here.Tasted: 10 March 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
