Domaine Fleith Pinot Noir F 2018
Alsace, FranceIn 1996, Vincent Fleith took over his family's 9 hectares, becoming the 11th generation of winegrowers to caretake these lands. He converted the estate to biodynamics over the next years. This pinot noir comes from their estate plot of Grand Cru Furstentum. It aged for 2 years in older Bourgogne barrels. Sultry dark cherry, black raspberry is woven with tart cassis, buzzy acidity, and shaped with a subtle worn leather hand, with fine, softly sticky tannins. Wearing now the nightshade of age, this is primed for drinking now, ideally with duck or wild mushrooms.Tasted: 11 March 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:Cave de Ribeauvillé Pinot Noir Rodern 2019Justin Boxler Pinot Noir Croisée des Chemins 2021
