CedarCreek Pinot Noir 2021

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaHome Block Vineyard has been home to CedarCreek’s pinot noir grape since 1989. The combination of soils, mixed elevations, and the moderating effect of the lake has spawned complex fruit with gravitas. 2021 was a warm year, especially in the second half, which led to the highest number of growing degree days on record and the earliest start of harvest on record. Unusually full bodied, it walks the line between too much and too little, perfectly pitching dried and fresh fruits, an earthy cedar underside, and enough freshness to bring you back to the glass. It is naturally fermented in concrete and oak before aging for 12 months in French oak barrels. This would be a good match for Chinese pork or duck dishes.Tasted: 23 March 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
