Araldica Corsini Barbaresco 2015

Piedmont, ItalyAraldica is a 3rd gen, family operated co-op based in Piedmont, working with over 230 growers. This Barbaresco comes from the communes of Treiso, Neive, and Barbaresco. It was aged in Slovonian oak botte and barrique over 2 years prior to another 6 months maturation in bottle prior to release. The bricking orange hue reveals maturing nebbiolo, and indeed this 2015 is full of tertiary flavours of tea leaves, forest floor, fragrant dried cherry, dried thyme and rosemary, threaded throughout fresher morello cherry and wild plum. Tannins have now faded to a slighter but still evident tug, finishing with cracked salts and worn leather. Drinking now, and fun to fine a well priced Barbaresco ready for enjoying.Tasted: 10 March 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
