Fort Berens Pinot Noir Reserve 2020
Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaIt is year four, for the all Lillooet, Dry Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir, from a few select rows of clone 115 cropped to lower yields. This was barrel matured for ten months in 20 percent new French oak and 80 percent neutral French oak. The style is cool with bright acidity and cedar, rhubarb, cherry over earthy forest floor. I like that this wine is made to be what it is: a far north cool climate pinot from young vineyards, and it’s getting better every year. The winery food match is a classic Beef Bourguignon.Tasted: 01 February 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $38.99 | 750ml | winery online/direct, select private retailers, grocery |
