Fort Berens Pinot Noir Reserve 2018

Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaIt is year two for the all-Lillooet, Dry Creek Vineyard pinot, made from two clones. It is whole cluster fermented on native yeast, before nine months of ageing in French oak barrels, and 24 more months bottle rest. The style is cool and cedary with rhubarb, cherry and an earthy branchy undercurrent. Best now with barbecue pork. A ground-breaking effort from a pioneering winery. It will be interesting to follow the journey of Lillooet pinot noir as the vines and the winemaking mature.Tasted: 29 November 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
