Meyer Family Vineyards Chardonnay Dekleva Clone Anarchist Mountain Vineyard 2021
Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis Anarchist Mountain chardonnay was planted in 1985 with an unknown clone by the Dekleva family on the Golden Mile Bench. The original vineyard is a significant part of the Checkmate site. This fruit comes from the family estate in Osoyoos. It is native fermented in stainless steel tanks before moving to French oak (5% new) for 11 months. The lees are in contact with the wine the entire time, but there is no stirring. It is less reductive than the other Meyer wines and more approachable at this stage. Expect a creamier mid-palate mix of green and yellow fruits with a touch of dry ginger ale.
