Le Ragnaie Brunello di Montalcino Casanovina Montosoli 2017

Montosoli, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyOne of three special black label Brunello from organic Le Ragnaie in 2017, this Sangiovese comes from the famed Montosoli site. It was native fermented in concrete prior to spending 3 years in 32 hl Slavonian oak vats. Ripe and worn black cherry fills the sueded palate, lit with a buzzy limestone acidity, and framed with ample, lightly furry tannins through a tart red/black currant and white pepper finish. Quite muscular and powerful, give this structural wine some time to knit in the bottle, and enjoy with lamb. 2900 bottles.Tasted: 08 December 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
