Il Molino di Grace Il Margone Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2016

Tuscany, ItalyMade from organically grown, dry farmed sangiovese, this Chianti Classico Gran Selezione has spent 16 months in French barriques and tonneaux, followed by three years of bottle ageing. Showing a garnet hue with brick rim, it opens with brooding dark notes of leather and tobacco layered with the tanginess of cherry and sundried tomato. A nice backbone of tight acidity and sinewy tannins confirms its provenance, as does the rich core of red and dark fruit. A wine of exceptional complexity and structure with the ability to age further gracefully.Tasted: 25 March 2023Tasted by: Prices:
