Domaine Michel Briday Bouzeron Cuvee Axelle 2020

Bouzeron, Côte Chalonnaise, Burgundy, FranceDomaine Michel Briday was founded in 1976 by Michel and Lucette Briday with 15 acres. Today the domaine is managed by Michel’s son and daughter-in-law, Stéphane and Sandrine, and consists of 38 acres spread across the municipalities of Rully, Bouzeron, and Mercurey. This is aligoté from 50 year old vines atop a white marl hillside. It was native fermented and rested in stainless. Heady pear skin, white peach, subtle white florals flood a saline, lightly waxen palate, scented with flax and studded with flake salts, which linger on the finish. Quite accomplished, and such a lovely example of what oft-neglected aligoté can achieve.Tasted: 23 November 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
