Liber Farm & Winery Rebil Viognier 2019

Cawston, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Rebil (Liber backward) barrel-aged Viognier is grown on the west-facing banks of the Similkameen River. It is a perfect exposition for this variety that lets it fully ripen but under a gentle sun and a cooler site. The oak is a distant part of this wine that hits the palate with a citrus freshness that enlivens its peachy apricot dusted with a light covering of spice and vanilla. Liber says it is a REBIL in the vineyard and bottle if you harvest the grapes at the perfect moment. I love the winery pairing suggestions: a creamy lemon sage whitefish, or panko-crusted cauliflower. Very well done.Tasted: 05 December 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
