Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis deeply hued rosé of dolcetto calls itself a rosato, harkening to the grape's Italian roots. From their estate Shuttleworth Creek Vineyard, in OK Falls, this was foot stomped, and has spent 5 days on skins in cold maceration, hence the deeper, gutsy, glowing hue. Post concrete fermentation, this rested in stainless prior to bottling. Salted plum, rhubarb pie and peppery spice fill a juicy, silken palate, with a dusting of sweet nutmeg and cinnamon on the bitter edged finish.
