Culmina Family Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada2018 wasn’t all that kind to cabernet sauvignon, hanging until November 13. Following a home run in 2017, the ’18 takes me back to early efforts in the valley. Herby and packed with tobacco, the cherry cassis is more red than black this year, and the acidity is front and centre. On the palate, find the same with peppery, tobacco, cedar that could use a dash of riper fruit. It will need some time to reach its full measure, but it looks like it will be challenging this year. Roast pork might be the route to go at the moment. It was aged for 16 months in French oak (25 percent was new).Tasted: 23 July 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
