Alentejo, Central and Southern Portugal, PortugalThis icon wine is packed in a telling hefty bottle, with dense touriga nacional, petit verdot, and syrah controlling the full palate. After a native ferment, this spent 24 months in new French wood, before it was lightly filtered prior to bottling. Compact black cherry, blackberry, black plum, pipe tobacco is lit with an inherent stony freshness, and seasoned with scrubby wild herbs.
