Chain Reaction Pendulum Pinot Noir 2020

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaChain Reaction is a relatively new virtual winery, based on the Naramata Bench, owned by Joel and Linda Chamaschuk, and named for their love of cycling. Originally from the Lower Mainland, they've been enjoying BC wine since 1991, and finally decided to become part of the industry, purchasing an orchard on the Bench, and planting their first vineyard in 2019. Well-known winemaker Dwight Sick oversees the wines, made at nearby Moraine Winery. This pinot, of their McMillan vineyard, was destemmed and native fermented, prior to aging in oak (15% new) until bottling, without fining or filtration. Juicy and fruit forward, with ripe black cherry, black plum, baked raspberry, on a bright palate, with a tart rhubarb acidity brightening the whole, and finely grippy tannins to house. A very promising start.Tasted: 13 March 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices: BC 30.00 winery online/direct Producer: Chain Reaction WineryDistributors: Winery Direct
