Phantom Creek Estates Petite Cuvée N° 4 2019

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaLike last year, Petit Cuvée leads with an inviting cedar, desert scrub, and black fruit nose reflecting its sourcing from the westside (Golden Mile Bench) and eastside (Black Sage Bench) in the south Okanagan Valley. Again like last year, the texture is an exquisite silky smooth experience even at its tender age. The blend in order of importance is cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, and merlot. The fruit is all blackcurrant, and the tannins are dusty, but the finish comes with a smoky, savoury, balsamic note that bites into the fruit. For now, it needs a well marbled grilled T-bone steak to take on the finish of the wine. I will revisit this in the next year to watch its development.Tasted: 01 February 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
