13th Street Winery Maximum Intervention Gamay 2020
Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaFrom Creek Shores' L. Viscek Vineyard, neighbouring the winery, this is a 50/50 blend of whole clusters and destemmed fruit, fermented in stainless without oxygen. After 4 weeks on skins, it was pressed into stainless for a 6 month rest, and bottling with a small amount of sulphur in June 2020. Quite primary, with grapey, plummy fruit covered with sticky, pasty tannins to a shorter, lightly peppered finish.
