Riverlore Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2020

Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandRiverlore pays tribute to the Taniwha, a protective creature that lives in pools, caves and shallow waters in Maori mythology. This sauvignon comes primarily off of the pioneering Rose family's Wairau Valley estate vineyards, one of the oldest family wineries in NZ, planing their vineyards in 1978. Lip smacking juicy and shining bright, this sings with lime and lemon, green apple, green hedge, tart gooseberry on a stony, medium bodied palate. There is ample tension from citrus pith and peel, and an alluring shimmering stoniness that beds from front to back. Crack into this youthful charmer now with fresh shellfish or green veg/salads.Tasted: 06 December 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
