Domaine Jean Bourdy Cuvée Chloé Trousseau 2020

Côtes du Jura, Jura, FranceThis natural trousseau is one of Jean Bourdy's daughter Laura's set of sulphur-free wines, and only a few bottles made their way to Canada. This was whole bunch macerated with stems in stainless for 10 days, with daily pigeage. It remained in stainless for 6 months until bottling, with a light filtration. It was named Chloé for her eldest daughter, whose artwork also graces the label. Pouring a lightly hazy crimson hue, this lighter trousseau is tight and grippy with wild raspberry, cherry, pomegranate on a slight, crunchy, textural palate. Tannins are fine and grippy, hugging this to a gently spiced, saline finish. There's a lovely harmony throughout this that lingers with a humming stony buzz. Take with a chill.Tasted: 15 August 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
