Da Silva Vinho Branco 2020
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOne of the finds of the year, Branco is a mix of pinot gris, viognier, pearl of casaba, and chardonnay off three vineyards: Outwash, Cabana, and St. Rocc. Winemaker Richard da Silva fermented in stainless steel and aged this a short four months, leaving a remarkably fresh, intriguing blend that suits much of the menu at The Kitchen, the patio restaurant at Da Silva that is packing them in. Floral, off-dry, and packed full of white fruit with a twist of ripe apricot and citrus. The label designed by Twyla Da Silva is spot on the money.
