Meyer Rosé 2020

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2020 Rosé takes pinot noir from estate vineyard in Okanagan Falls and Kaleden, as well as from contracted fruit from growers throughout the Okanagan, from East Kelowna down through Oliver. This was partial saignée, and partial destemmed with 2 days cold soak prior to pressing. The juice was partially native fermented in a mix of stainless and older French barrels. It remained on lees for 6 months, with full MLF. Pouring a deeper cherry hue, this fuller, duskier pink carries forest berries, cherries, raspberry jam along a soft, creamy palate, scented with perfumed plum blossoms, and cut with a subtle wave of reduction to a spiced finish. The weightier palate would make this friendly rosé sensical with food pairings, from grilled salmon through roasted vegetable salads.Tasted: 01 May 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
