Spearhead Riesling 2020
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe not-yet-released 2020 is looking sharp, as all of winemaker Grant Stanley wines do. Half of the fruit was whole bunch and stomped by foot to provide a little added texture and ripe fruit flavours. The acid is knife-edge sharp and contains grapes off both Seven Mountain Vineyard on Mount Boucherie in West Kelowna, and Gentleman Farmer Vineyard in southeast Kelowna. As per usual, the fruit is green apple fresh, streaked with nectarines and limes dusted with a stony, mineral finish.
