Noble Ridge King's Ransom Meritage 2017

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis comes in a large, heavy bottle, and the wine is equally monolithic. The oak is in the foreground of this merlot (57%) and cabernet sauvignon (43%) blend, with gobs of coconut and dill from the American oak overshadowing the luscious, dark fruits. Medium-full bodied, it's quite ripe and extracted, with blocky, grainy tannins that dry out the finish. Fans of big, oaky reds should revisit this in 2-3 years.Tasted: 13 April 2021Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:
