Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis cofermented, skin contact field blend is a tip to Alsatian Edelzwickers and their easy, off-dry, aromatic profile. The name also plays homage to BC's Father Pandosy, the first to plant wine grapes in BC. This blends muscat, pinot gris, riesling, and gewurztraminer, sourced from Lazy River Vineyard, in the Similkameen. Ginger, white pepper, melon, yellow apple and yellow plum rule the sleek, streaming palate, with enough tension from the skin contact to attract attention and interest, but not to detract from the aromatic white blend. In fact, the edge and citric bitterness from time on skins works very well against the florality and fruitiness of the grapes, all finishing with a refreshing snap. An interesting project to keep an eye on.Tasted: 09 July 2021Tasted by: Prices:

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA nod to Alsace brings together this authentic lookalike, a co-fermented, skin contact, field blend of muscat, pinot gris, riesling, and gewurztraminer. Cleverly described by the winery as “a mouthful,” it is that and more with a fresh acid base and fruity, floral, off-dry, yellow fruit palate that transports you to Alsace and the Edelzwickers of old. Roasted white meat is the match, as espoused by the Modest Butcher, but you could go as big as Choucroute and take it home to rest.Tasted: 30 April 2021Tasted by: Prices:
