Modest Wines The Elder Vicar 2019

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA nod to Alsace brings together this authentic lookalike, a co-fermented, skin contact, field blend of muscat, pinot gris, riesling, and gewurztraminer. Cleverly described by the winery as “a mouthful,” it is that and more with a fresh acid base and fruity, floral, off-dry, yellow fruit palate that transports you to Alsace and the Edelzwickers of old. Roasted white meat is the match, as espoused by the Modest Butcher, but you could go as big as Choucroute and take it home to rest.Tasted: 30 April 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices: BC 21.99 winery online/direct Producer: Mt.
